Arrive in Paro and drive to Thimphu, following the river valley and passing traditional farmhouses. Depending on your arrival time, visit a few key sites or simply enjoy a relaxed walk through town.
Spend the day exploring Thimphu’s cultural landmarks, such as the Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma, Folk Heritage Museum, and Tashichho Dzong. Along the way, you’ll get a feel for Bhutan’s unique balance of tradition and modern life.
Drive back to Paro, stopping at viewpoints and small temples en route. In Paro, visit Rinpung Dzong, the National Museum, and wander the town’s main street, lined with traditional wooden shopfronts.
Hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, Bhutan’s most iconic site, perched dramatically on a cliff face. After descending, enjoy a final Bhutanese meal or a short stroll through Paro before transferring to the airport for your departure.
